SG.OXYTOCIN – Supports parturition, helps prevent retained placenta

1. COMPOSITION / QUALITY INDICATORS

Each 100 ml contains:

  • Oxytocin: 1.000 IU.
  • Solvent q.s.: 100 ml.

2. USES

  • Stimulates smooth muscle contractions and supports parturition in cattle and buffaloes, pigs, dogs and cats.
  • Supports easier parturition in cases requiring intervention as directed.
  • Helps prevent retained placenta.
  • Supports milk let-down according to the recommended dosage.

3. DIRECTIONS & DOSAGE

General directions
Administer by intramuscular injection, subcutaneous injection or slow intravenous injection. May be repeated after 3 - 4 hours as directed.
Dosage by target animal
  • Sows: obstetric conditions 3 - 5 ml/animal; stimulation of milk let-down 0,5 - 2 ml/animal.
  • Female cattle and buffaloes: obstetric conditions 7 - 10 ml/animal; stimulation of milk let-down 1 - 2,5 ml/animal.
  • Female dogs and cats: obstetric conditions 0,5 - 2 ml/animal; stimulation of milk let-down 0,2 - 1 ml/animal.

4. DOSAGE FORM / FORM OF USE

  • Hormonal injectable solution.
  • Administered by intramuscular, subcutaneous or slow intravenous injection.
  • Suitable for the reproduction / hormone product group.

5. PRECAUTIONS

  • Do not exceed the prescribed dosage.
  • Use according to the directions on the product label or as directed by veterinary personnel.
  • Follow the correct route of administration, dosage and interval between injections.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
